This is probably less than half the cars I’ve ever driven. Between test drives, friends’ cars, etc. I’ve lost track. These are just the roughly two dozen which have been used as camera cars in my videos.

I tried to list them all in an Excel once. With the idea to always keep it up to date after that. Got bored at around number 50.

Yup. Plus I genuinely cannot remember everything I test drove while I was shopping for my first car. Basically any sub-$8000 car at a dealer near me, I tried it out.

Also rentals while helping people move, cars while ours were in service, friends cars on journeys, cars while in military (i only used one entry per model although I drove several of each), etc...

I certainly did! It was the car I did most of my learning on, and I borrowed it plenty of times during my HS junior year. It was a touch on the slow side, some of the fit and finish left a little to be desired, and the front headrests were tilted forward so far that any prolonged seat time resulted in a neck cramp, at least for me. But overall it was a great car. Lots of features, looked cool, comfortable, and the amount of space in the 2nd and 3rd row put any Odyssey or Suburban to shame.

They’re neat cars, and the earlier ones (which I prefer for their styling) are pretty cheap.

I remember you told me that it was shocking to you that I can list out the cars I’ve driven since it’s been so few. This is quite an assortment! There are many dealers just a few miles from me; I’d love to head out and take a whip in something unique.

Yup, I remember that too. That conversation was part of what got me thinking. If I absolutely *had* to guess how many cars I’ve spent any time driving, even if only 5-10 minutes, I’d put it at close to 75 cars.

Yeah, I’m only a year(?) younger than you are, but my repertoire is smaller.
